This blog is mainly for my gorgeous girls Isabelle and Amelie. It is an online scrapbook. Just a fraction of all the little things piling up in mummy's little head, while they are busy growing up. But, whoever you are, you are all welcome to read. I will be happy to share.I often write in Turkish though. Hoping that one day they'll be able to read in Turkish!

Well, I didn't get the job in the end:( In the future, I must try harder to control my nerves during the interviews. I will be grumpy for a few days probably. I really wanted that job and I am sure I would have been good at it. Oh bother! Nevermind...there will be other great opportunities like this( yeah for me to waste!!!).

Rest In Peace Nan...
Your daddy's nan died last night. At the age of over 90, she's had a long life for sure but whether it was a happy one, I honestly don't know.
She spent the last few years of her life in a private nursing home, where she was well looked after. Her short term memory was almost completely gone and long term memory was quite blurry. Her condition enabled her to spend some time ( in her mind) with her loved ones who were long gone, like her parents, her husband and her permanently disabled daughter( poor little soul she used to say for her).Which I think was fascinating. I wish we could all have a place in our heads where we can still be with people we have lost.
Her nurses told us last week that she had been mourning after the death of her daughter-in-law( your granny), that she wasn't eating and staying in bed all the time.It was a bit strange, given that they have never had a loving relationship for some reason and when she was told that you granny had died she just didn't show any emotional reaction at all. May be she actually liked her or may be she was sad for her son, she must have known how much your grandad loved your granny. We'll never know.
Her name was Yvone. Rest in peace nan...
