Dear Amelie,

It is 3:57am. 

Some might say we are terrible parents for leaving you to cry and some swears by this 'controlled crying' method. It certainly feels horrible listening you cry. But we are at the end of our tether! 

It never worked with Isabelle. Looks like we had to give her a little sister in order to make her sleep at night!! Since you were born she 'sleeps like a baby' :)) Sorry but you'll never be a BIG SISTER. So better learn how to sleep NOW!

Ilk disinin gecen hafta ciktigini soylemis miydim sana? Disin ciktigina gore artik kebap yiyebilirsin yavru kus:))

Beni isirmazsan ikimiz icin de daha hayirli olur. Zira zamaninda ablandan gordugum eziyetleri tekrar yasamaya niyetim yok bilesin. XXX

Dun sabah parkta kosarken ( evet yanlis okumadiniz kosuyorum ben artik atletik bir insanim) yuvasindan dusmus yavru bir kus buldum. Ucamiyordu daha minnacikti. Iste o yavru kusun saskin yuzunde Amelie'nin yuzunu gordugume yemin edebilirim!!! Gozlerime yaslar doldu hemen. O kadar gercekti. Evet deliriyorum. Uykusuzluktan halusinasyonlar goruyorum artik. Belki de kosmak yaramadi bunyeye:)
Kusu daha guvenli biryere tasidim tabiki ama yine de ya annesi onu bulamamissa, ya bir kedi ya da baska bir hayvan gelip onu kapmissa vs gibi dusunceler aklima geldikce yine aglamakli oluyorum yaaa gercekten kendimden korkuyorum su an!!!
Dun gece yine uyumadik adam gibi:(

DRAINED!

Dear Amelie,

You have been fighting with your first ever cold for a week now. A friend of mine used to say, "a cold lasts a week with medication, seven days without" :) In both cases you are nearing the end. So there you go! Mummy just found a little reason to cheer herself up!:)

 I'd had almost forgotten how a tiny baby's illness can drain every single drop of one's energy leave them feeling so helpless and useless! When you are screaming all night and day, I honestly feel like doing the same! But the worst of all has to be the physical and emotional pain of when you refuse to eat. The single most important thing you need to know about Turkish mums is the fact that we love to feed! There are not many things in life that would make us happier than watching our kids eat! So imagine how I feel!!! and if you are lucky enough to experience the excruciating pain of breast engorgement one day, you'll know what I mean!
